I've had 2 surgeries for meniscus problems, now I have major damage to my articular cartilage. My doctor has mentioned this surgery called ACI where they take cartilage from my knee grow it in a lab and reimplant it. I want to know if anybody has had this surgery, and how has the outcome been? I want to eventually train for a triathalon, but its wayy to painful to even run.

  1. I have worked with a surgeon who does cartilage replacement. It has been successful with most patients, Nothing can replace that damaged cartilage in your knee but cartilage replacement may help you.
