  1. Yes.

    They're the other remnants of Blink 182. Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker wanted to stay in the same vein as Blink. Listening to them and then listening to Angels & Airwaves, you can figure a few things out: Artistic difference were killing Blink 182. Contrast the earlier hits like "Dammit" with later hits like "Miss You." Angels & Airwaves (AVA) sounds lots more like later Blink, so it's no surprise that Tom left because the other guys in Blink didn't like the direction he was taking the band (a moodier, maturer sound).

    And this'll probably be the big point of controversy: Tom had the talent and took it with him when he formed AVA. +44 is like old Blink 182, so if you dig that, then you'll like +44. I *hated* old Blink 182, so much that I didn't want to like AVA. But heh, I think AVA's album was one of the best releases of last year. Not surprisingly, I detest +44.
