  1. Hahahahahaha, a small slice of prestige for a fat slice of cash. Syndicates rarely make money.

  2. Very few syndicates make their money back and Elite has some 18,000 members so is even less likely to!

Now that they are breeding, there may be the possibility of getting something back if a yearling sells well, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

It costs about £16,000 per year to keep one horse in training in Great Britain so very few owners ever make their money back.

Treat it like a hobby, not a money making exercise.

  3. I dont think people join these clubs with the hope of making money, It is the sense of participation, the great days out and just the fun of it. But of all the racing clubs, and there is a lot you could do worse than join Elites. They now breed their own horses too.

  4. Very unlikely. Even the people who owned the Derby winner Motivator didn't get their investment back and Elite racing have yet to win a Derby!

  5. NO, i fell for this one. I spent a lot of money over 1 year to get just £11.35 back.

I then joined Yorkshire racing syndicate and owned a large share in Up Tempo and won a lot of money till STUPID FACE Niall put it in a claimer and we had to sell it. Still had 2 good years out of it.
