  1. I have, it was my first cruise.  I had a blast on it, they have an outdoor skating rink, an ice skating rink, ice shows, pools, adult only pool, very nice staff, I thought everything about it was wonderful.  The ship was so beautiful it was deffinatly worth the money.  I went in January and I think that's the best time to go to the caribbean because it's still soo warm but it's not hot enough that you think you're going to have a stroke.

  2. WE went on the Freedom last November.  Its a great ship.  Its like a larger version of some of Royal Caribbeans' other ships.  The only thing I didn't like about the ship was the Windjammer Cafe, where the breakfast, lunch and dinner, buffets are held is not large enough to accommodate all of the people during peak hours.  So people were walking around looking for tables.

Otherwise the ship was great.  The flow rider functions great as advertised.  at 60+ years old I didn't try it, but there was a line of folks waiting to use it.  You don't have to pay to use the flow rider, its just like the rock climbing wall, just get in line to use it.  There is stadium seating up on the back of the ship so people can watch others using the rider.  The Freedom cruise didn't cost any more than any other; just shop its itineraries for the lowest priced times.  Now is a good time to look at booking a cruise on it for the end of this year, or early next year. Book outside the hurricane season, so after October 30 and before June first next year.

The other thing that I loved about the freedom was its stop at the RC private island in Labidee.  That is THE best private island I have seen and I have been on many cruises.  Its a huge island and they have a free tram to take you from one end to the other.  The island has several beaches and plenty of shade.  The activities when you are there include a private beach area (cost $5.) where you can play on stuff out in the water, like slides and stuff.  Then you can go para-sailing, or jet skiing or snorkel or scuba.
