  1. I have heard, as well, that one is being considered.  I believe King George XLIII is in favor of it, as is Sen. Obama.  It would be a smaller rebate, just some additional money to help during a time of high energy and food costs.  I believe the bill in question (if it's even a bill yet) is going to have some other appropriations in it....maybe for infrastructure needs such as roads, bridges, other things.

  2. At this point it is an 'official rumor'.  Some politicians has stated they support a second stimulus package without giving any details.  To date, none have introduced the legislation that would be required to authorize one.  Given the time between know and the end of the current Congress's term, the chances any such bill would pass are 0.0%.

  3. There is a joke email being spread around about information on a second stimulus payment, when you open the email it states some requirements needed to receive the second check and for you to click a link to a government website and apply, when you click on the link it shows a picture of a laughing cat (and/or other subjects).  I believe that emails such as these have started rumors but I think it is all just a joke at this point.

  4. Obama and other Congressional Democrats have said they would push for a second stimulus plan in September that could reach $50 billion, an idea that the Bush administration has not favored so far. McCain opposes the loan program, as his campaign says his proposals -- a $5,000 consumer tax credit for efficient vehicles, a $300 million prize for electric vehicle batteries and strict goals for flex-fuel vehicles -- would accomplish the same goals.

  5. I have, but beware!

Say no to money (even if it's hard). In 1913 the FRB was started. In 1929 our dollar was devalued and the economy didn't know what to do. There was a huge crash that led to a run on the banks, combined with the rising cost of goods that seriously helped to contribute to 1929.

Are our goods dramatically rising in cost? Is the stock market way down? Have any banks had a run yet?

Now our dollar is worth about 0.04 on the dollar. Our forefathers new that money should only be printed when its backed by gold or silver. For all intensive purposes it is not anymore.

Please don't take any more money. Sure, I would like money (like probably most people), but the part the government doesn't tell you is where they are getting that money, and that it will just end up making everything else cost even more. If you don't know how the FRB works find out!

Is this a country of the people, for the people, by the people? Is that what this is? Cuz I was never asked if any of this was okay!

  6. I have not heard about this second stimulus package.  I saw Obama's ad saying he would give $1,000 to middle America and I was pleased, but after reading up on it, that was only after the $2500 Bush tax credit expires (which Obama won't renew) and then Obama will give us $1000.  Basically we'll be losing 1,500.  Hopefully there will be something else coming.  It helps so many out in these tough times.
