  1. Hello, maybe I can help you!

You search for "Kannenberg Castle" in Germany, but  this is the name of a castle in a film named "Das Bernstein Amulett".

The real name of this castle is "Schloss Krumke" , the same name of the  small village in Sachsen-Anhalt, where the castle is.

The village Krumke counts maybe 160 inhabitants,  it´s very small.  In the beginning stood there a castle, whose remainder is however no longer received.  Already in the year 1170 the castle Krumke must have existed, even if it only 1321 is mentioned.

After 1600 the owners changed often: you find the names "von Winterfeldt",  "von Buelow" and "von  Kannenberg."

1762 became extinct the line of those von Kannenberg , and Krumke Castle came into the hand of the  "von Kahldens".

1854 were established on the island a new castle and in 18. Century created garden plant changes.

1911 acquired Arthur von Gwinner, he was  a manager of the German Bank, property  Krumke Castle and let it recondition and changes the look of the building.

After 1945 in the castle a Tuberkulose sanatorium was furnished, later a child cure home.

After the end of the DDR the castle stood for a long time empty. Today it is in private property. In the summer 2003 at Krumke and in Tangermuende the film "The amber Amulett" was produced. The lock with the park and adjacent buildings stands under monument protection.

I hope I can help you with my investigation...

  2. No, I don't think there is a castle called that in Germany. I have searched my books and also done an online search....all to no avail.
