Has any one gotten a violation notice just for not answering a question right?

Anyways i got one just for not really answering a question.The Question was really long and so i didn't read it and i just said thanks for the 2 points.Was that wrong for me to do that.I had a few people do that to me and i didn't report them.I didn't realize you can do that over nothing..

Yes, that is wrong, sorry. It is POINT GAMING (not an answer, just grabbing points). You can report it -- and many folks do.
