  1. I had gall stones and had my gall bladder removed. The surgery is very easy, much less invasive than years ago. They make a little incision in your belly button, one in the middle, one off to the side, each about 3/4-1 inch in length. I was up, eating lunch and going home 2 hours after I woke from the surgery. You will be sore for about 2 weeks. Not bad at all!

  2. I had to have mine taken out the old fashioned way, an incision, due to complications.  I was in the hospital for about a week - the first couple in ICU due to other complications not really related to the surgery (I had walking pneumonia when I went in and didn't know about it).  Then I recovered at home for about 5 weeks before I could return to work.  No big issues with pain after the first couple of days.  Even then, I only asked for pain meds a couple of times and it was really to help me sleep.
