Has any one had their water break in a public place?

Question

I am very worried that I will be out shopping or standing in line at the bank and them "Bamm" A puddle and just to think of the embarrassment of having wet pants walking back to my car.. Has anyone had any horror stories?

I worked at the airport and it was my last week before leave and as I was helping an elderly lady board the plane I felt what I thought was pee running down my leg I rushed to the bathroom and seen it was clear and freaked out, so I had a group of co workers rushing me to the car with a sweater around my waist. And that's all everyone could talk about for months

I was so worried about this when I was pregnant!  But according to all the books I read its that 75% of the time your waters wont break until your well in to labour!  

I actually had to have my water broken by the midwife in both my labours.

I only know 1 person who's waters have broken and this did actually happen at the shops lol. Poor thing she was mortified but like I said its meant to be quite uncommon but Im sure it' happened to people on here :)
