  1. Um, that doesn't happen to me.

You could always ask your doctor about it though.

  2. I had the opposite experience.  When I was in my early 20s I noticed that one of my eyes was stronger than the other but I felt that my overall sight was pretty good as I could see things in the far distance and had had no difficulty with the eyesight check in the driving test.  I put off going for an eye test for several years but was eventually forced to do so after a medical at work.  In the test, I could read to the bottom of the chart with my left eye but could not read beyond the first letter with my right (and even that was blurred).  Although glasses were prescribed (-4.5 for the right eye and only a small correction for the left), I didn't think they would make much difference.

When I picked them up, I felt too self conscious to try them out at work, but couldn't resist the temptation to pop them on on the way home (when I was unlkely to see anyone I knew).  Wow! - what a revelation - seeing in 3D with so much detail and the colours seeming much more vibrant.  Even so, I wasn't sure whether I wanted things to be as sharp as this all of the time - the slightly blurred vision to which I had become accustomed seemed more restful.  I had obviously not been seeing in 3D because of the imbalance in my eyes.

For the next ten years or so, I only wore the glasses for driving and at the theatre or cinema as I was still self conscious about them.  Then I changed my job and made the decision that I would become someone who wears glasses all the time.  So my current work colleagues have never known me without glasses.  I love wearing glasses now and think that I look better with them than without.  I can still manage without them if necessary so I have never needed to consider contacts.

  3. My 3D vision actually improved when I started wearing a contact lens in my left eye.  My right eye has normal vision and I have astigmatism in my left eye.  I used to see a double-image ghost type effect when I looked at distant objects because my right eye could see them clearly and my left eye could not.

I have never noticed objects appearing two dimensional or grey when I wear my eyeglasses or contacts.  I assume that would be something I would notice because my right eye has normal vision.  I was also treated for strabismus as a child and advised that is probably why I have an eye imbalance.

  4. i were glasses, and everything looks fine.

  5. the first time i tried contacts i was in awe...everything was more crisp and 3d! glasses definitely make everything look flatter.
