Has any one used Credit Counseling of America and is it legit?

Do your own credit repair. There is no need to have anyone help you if you have internet access.

As a general rule, so-called credit counseling agencies can't help much.  They can provide advice or counseling, often at a price, which is available free from other sources, such as your own common sense, or books that help you understand credit and credit contracts.  Claims that they can reduce your debt are frequently exaggerated, and may leave you owing even more,  Most of these have been shut down by various state attorneys general.  I'm surprised any are still around.
