Because mine have been lying, and I want someone to relate to so badly. I'm not looking for advice, but just for someone like me, or in a similar situation. Please, if anyone is out there living like this ... Reply, because I'm sure you looking for someone like me, as well.

  1. I heard of a family where I live that did just that. There were 4 kids in the family. I don't know what ended up happening with them, but they did end up being under threat of having to put the children in school because they were not doing ANYTHING--not even some measly chores or anything. The parents were negligent in all areas. The kids didn't even wear clean clothes half the time.

My heart goes out to you; it sounds like you are in a lot of pain. There are, also, other people who confuse unschooling with abandoning their children to their education. I hope you will be able to develop a vision of what you would like to be like, the education you'd like to have, and that you'll have the courage to take on your education yourself, with or without your parents' help.

  2. yep my moms pulled us outa school back in the 80's & claimed home schooling for yrs all she was doing was trying to keep us from the man as she called it & propaganda

anyways it ruined my life somehwhat & set me and my Brother back. .

  3. I don't know how old you are, but you write well which leads me to believe that you are very intelligent  and have had some education.

I am not saying that what your parents are doing is correct, but you are smart to realize that you need an education.   I would encourage you to take responsibility and give yourself an education.   The internet is full of free lectures from colleges and free information on any subject that you want to learn.

If you want to follow a public school scope and sequence, go to your state's school website for a list of what the government says you need to learn.

I have given some websites on previous answers.  There is a wealth of website links in other answers concerning free education.

I think you will do fine.   Reading and understanding what you read is all you need to learn anything you want to learn.
