  1. YES....

It is an area in Egypt. Inside Seana Island to be specific. Not even had a human foot on since God only knows when.

    So clean...so neat...so unpolluted....

Being currently managed to become one of the most attractive Tourist Resort in the world.

    Unfortunately, I forgot its name.

  2. It's easy to understand how young people, having been raised on "the sky is falling" would think that things have never been worse. I'm 30 years older than you & in my lifetime they haven't been better! They used to pump the sewage into Tampa Bay.Coal fired power plants could be seen 5 miles away.Phosphate dust covered everthing within miles with a thin layer of dust. Today birds that I only heard about as a boy are plentiful again (?maybe  DDT?) we have too many alligators now. tourists too. and we were being warned about a coming Ice Age!

  3. no. air moves. water moves. there is no real way to eliminate these problems until they are eliminated globally

  4. The US has done a great job (although more needs to be done, particularly in global warming).

In the 60s the air and water was very bad.  In many cities you would often have burning eyes from sulfur dioxide from burning coal.  Lung diseases were caused simply by living in a city.  In Los Angeles and Denver you often couldn't see the mountains.  There were many "fish kills", many rivers in cities that smelled bad, and in many places the fish were unsafe to eat.  One river even caught fire.

Thanks to laws such as the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, and the many improvements made tot those laws over time, we've made huge progress since then.  So has Europe.  Doesn't mean we need to stop working at it.
