Have stayed in Fuengirola but not in the Ronda apartments. Me and a few friends rented a villa on the mountains there. It's a nice town, some good bars and restaurants but be sure to be picky as theres loads of c**p as well (complete with ye olde british pub fayre). Fantastic cake shop down in the centre of town by the church.

Beach is a bit gritty but nice enough.
