Strathfoyle is located some 8 kilometres north east of Londonderry and approximately 2 kilometres from the A2 Londonderry to Coleraine Road.   To the north it is bounded by industry and the port complex at Lisahally and to the south by the area of high scenic value along the River Foyle Banks.
