What is the best city to visit, and what is there to do? Is it safe for 2 girls to go to?

Chile is known like a " country of contrasts". Here you can find a lot of interesting places. The capital Santiago (metropolitan region) is a modern city where you can find cheap hotels and interesting culture points, for example in the historic center.There are museums like the Museo Histórico Natural, the M. H. Nacional and the government central house (called La Moneda). Usually this place is very safe, being constantly guarded by police. The fifth region is an hour and a half from Santiago, and there is Viña del Mar, the main tourist city of Chile. In summer season is characterized by its excellent beaches and its beautiful streets. Even when the country is among the safest of the region, you must realize that your security depends of yourself, for example you must not show your wallet, expensive cellphones, notebooks or jewelry. In any case the treatment to tourists is very good and you'll have a good time. Good Luck!
