  1. for great food avoid the very touristic restaurants. Good italian food, great greek seafood etc etc. Its one of the most beautiful places i have ever been! Just wonder around ( its not a rrreeeaaallly big place) and make sure u visit the palace

  2. I have been To Corfu,

I was surprised because I thought all the Greek Island's had history as I am interested in this. It didnt, although the weather can get very hot. Some nice beaches are Paleokastritsa but there tend to be a lot of Germans around that area. Corfu Town is lovely, I loved it! You might be staying in Sidari which is a resort which is quite nice too!

    Have a nice holiday!

  3. Corfu is a bit of a mixed bag really. Some really horrinble resorts, some small quiet resorts, some upmarket resorts. Outside these, lovely Greek countryside, chillout monisterys, churches, beaches. Corfu town and castle worth a visit. Maybe hire a moped if you ride to get around the island. Enjoy.

  4. Yes, i went to Corfu in 2006, it was good if your into relaxing and doing nothing but chilling out. The night life was not great and there was not much to do during the day, i don't thing i would go back anytime soon although maybe it has become better since then but at least i can say i have been.

    Have fun!!!!!!

  5. We've been going to Corfu for 15 years, so something must be ok!. North, especially NE is respectable like Kensington round Agios Stephanos, centre has Corfu town with tourist and other good shops (including M&S) South has Kavos, say no more. Best beaches on west. Not the cheapest destination any more. Locals generally honest and helpful, but avoid the obviously tourist spots. DON'T hire a moped unless you like plaster casts.

Essentially greek but with venetian touches. I would try to visit Paleokastritsa, Corfu town (more than one day really needed), do a boat trip, the beach barbq's are good,. Just relax and enjoy

  6. yes but it is not a beautiful place ..... the wheater it's very hot-.... and the city aren't interesting ... I stayed in corfu only one day luckly

  7. The most interesting Greece's islands of the Ionian cluster. The most green of the Greek islands, has three million olive trees. As well as flower-strewn countryside and Adriatic-style traditional villages, it has splendid coastal scenery and some excellent secluded sandy beaches. On this cosmopolitan island, you'll be able to combine relaxation with good times and a full nightlife, for CORFU (Kerkyra) is an international tourist and travel centre which can satisfy the demands of the most difficult visitors.
