If so where are the best places to go for example food, drink, sight seeing etc? Where did you stay, was it good?

  1. we went to santa ponsa for our first holiday abroad we loved it. There was lovely places to eat and we loved the beach it was lovely and clean anyone who says dont go are fussy, we are actually going for christmas as well.

  2. I used to live very close by. The best way I can describe it is Blackpool in the sun. I adore Mallorca but Santa Ponsa is the only place on the island that I do not like.

If its a typical British holiday in the sun you are looking for, Palma Nova is far far better. Santa Ponsa closes for the winter and Palma Nova does not. Palma Nova has lots of chips and burgers restauants but you can also get top quality restaurants too. I have never found a decent restaurant in Santa Ponsa.

Santa Ponsa has a great beach and lots going on but it is predominately a cheap and tacky resort. Sorry!

  3. We stayed in some very fancy private apartments - have a look on their local website to see if any locals have some to rent out.

The pubs and bars are mainly Irish and Scottish and the night cubs are awful unless you are under 16.

  4. I have been there. Best advice I can give you: don't go.

  5. Its OK for a cheap holiday.  Food wasn't great.  Beach was nice and everything is very close.  We stayed at the far side of the bay and the view was lovely as we were looking over at the main area.  As long as its sunny and you are going with people you get on with I'm sure you will have a great time.
