  1. I have been to cancun twice in december and the weather can change.  I actually got married in december of 2002.  It's mostly around mid 80's to 90's and sunny.  If it rains it's only for a couple of minutes then the sun comes out. At night it can cool down, but it's still worth it.  I live in Chicago, IL so i would rather be in Cancun! Maybe a sweater or capri pants for the night, but during the day you will be ok.

As for tours, it depends on what you like to do.  I have been to cancun about 8 times and still love it.  I love to see the Mayan Ruins and all that history.  So if you like that then Chichen-Itza is the place to go. Some of these tours are all day from 7am to 6pm or later, so plan them right.  Atleast every other day, if not you will be tierd.  Xcaret is also very nice, they have a underground and aboveground river (a must do) and they have a great night show, so if u do this tour you must ask for the night show. Xel-Ha & Tulum are a combined tour, Tulum is another Mayan Ruins (but small, so u only spend about 3 hrs) Xel-Ha is gorgeous, it's the best for snorkeling. (i dont swim, but i love to do this tour, you can wear a vest if u want).

Go to cancun.com then tours, then cancun tour list.  I think this will help u on what u would like to do. Enjoy cancun its beautiful. Oh! December they should have all the X-mas lights out, so at night it's beautiful because all the hotels have lights outside and the palm trees also. Have a great time...

  2. It will be very nice. Cancún is in a tropical climate so it's never below 70 degrees at night and during the day in Dec. expect it to be about 85-90 degrees. Dec. is one of the drier months so it usually doesn't rain much. If it does it's only for a few minutes and most of the time the sun is still out while it's raining.

There is a lot of things to do in Cancún. There is something for everyone. Assuming you like to have fun and party you must check out CoCo Bongo's, Senor Frogs, The City. They are all great clubs/discos that have nightly entertainment. The nightlife in Cancún is crazy and if you like to drink and be wild you will have a blast and usually everyone parties till 6 in the morning.

Also, check out Playa Cabana during the day. It's a s**y, sophisticated beach club where you can relax and be pampered and have people wait on you hand over foot. Very relaxing to lay in the cabanas and sip your favorite drink or get a massage. It's almost like something movie stars would go to. Very classy and elegant.

Xel-ha and X-caret and neat places to go if you like nature and animals. They are like an ecological park where you can get hands on animals and even swim with the dolphins.

If you like history you can check out Chicen-Itza and Tulum. They are ancient Mayan ruins from the Mayans that once inhabited the area.

You can also ride sea-doos or go parasailing.

Aqua World is neat and you can do a lot of different things like sea-doos, parasailing, ride in a submarine.

At night I recommend for dinner your try Captain Hook's Pirate Cruise. You board one of two ships that sail out in the Caribbean and you eat dinner then on the way back the two ships converge and they have a real-life pirate fight and swing from ships shooting guns and sword fighting...It's really neat and fun.

Also, being a female I'm sure you love to shop and there are a lot of high end fashion designer stores in Cancún. You can get Chanel, Guicci, or Louis Vetton bags for $60-$80 compared to $1000 here in the States. Also, just walking around the little flea-markets that the locals have is a lot of fun and you can get lot of hand-crafted items of Mexican culture.

It's fun just to go to the hotel zone and walk around and you will always find something that you want to do or try.

It's a lot of fun in Cancún and you will never be bored. Have a blast!!!
