Has anybody eaten out in France?

There have been no questions asked in this catagory so I wanted to be the first!!

Yes, I went to Paris when I was about 11 (before I was vegetarian),  I can't remember what I ate, but it was nice! The bread and pastries were gorgeous in the cafes and we went to a food market and they sold fresh herbs there and lovely cheeses, yummy! The French seem to have a great passion for good food and wine over there and with good reason. If you go have a fab time.

i was in france, courtesy of the u s army, back in 1964. at that time $1.00 = 5 franc. if you got a pass, didn't have a lot of money, wanted to avoid details, you headed to the river an camped. you could get a bottle of vin du postilion for a franc, 3 long loaves of bread for 3 franc. that is eating out on a shoe string budget. (course the wine wasn't the best)
