Question:

Has anybody else had trouble with Nationwide?

I have been asked to help someone who Nationwide is acusing of having a debt with them. The collection co have given the papers back to Nationwide and told them they are far from happy. Nationwide were obstructive and do no answer emails or respond sensibly to telephone calls.

If there are others then maybe as a concerted effort they could be taken to the crown court for large debts. Even the inkling of this getting out should do them the world of good. NOT!!!

  1. hi the only way to sort nationwide out is to go to the banking ombudsman and he will do all the work for you (what a c**p bank) good look

  2. No. But I think you should be a bit more specific, because when I read this the first time I thought you were talking about the Airlines that went bust recently! Also Nationwide.

    Anyway, good luck.

  3. I don't ever have any trouble with them.  Write a complaint to the ombudsman, it will have an address on back of your bank statements.

  4. I have banked with Nationwide (Building Society) now for 26 years and have never had any problem with them.  Have you tried enquiring in the local branch? Make an appointment with the manager, perhaps they could help and see what was going on.
