  1. I've ordered Sa Piling Mo on Netflix and I've learned, "InaY...bakit ma lunkot ka?" I've learned how to say it not spell it....

  2. My wife has taught me some Tagalog and Bisaya.  But, I learn a lot from watching tv when we're there.  The drama shows are good to learn from as well as Vic and Joey.  Willie talks too fast.  The kids shows are good too.  I watch Goin Bulilit to catch the easy words.

  3. In theory, yes. TFC can be used as a language immersion tool just like the Rosetta Stone series. Tagalog or "Pilipino" is one of the easiest languages for an english-speaker to learn especially at its earliest stages, as typical conversations are conducted in Taglish nowadays. Those with average language comprehension skills should be conversant in no time unless they're learning-impaired or  perhaps have trouble speaking in their own native tongue--or maybe don't care nor respect the culture enough to want to learn.

  4. idk....but this 7 year old kid i know likes watching TFC shows and repeats words he likes. he pretty much learned some.

but all in all, the best bet to learn tagalog is from your family or someone you're always with who speaks in tagalog.
