Has anybody ever....?

used this bridle? Or really any HDR bridle. Because I'm looking for an inexpensive snaffle dressage bridle without a flash (impossible to find practically), but I don't want to buy a piece of c**p. I will probably show in it this summer and school in it occasionally but after that I am going to move to the double bridle.

Thanks! : )

  1. .

  2. ya its fine

  3. looks good

  4. A lot of dressage bridles have a removable flash, so if you can't find one without one entirely, just look for a bridle that can have the flash removed.

    :)

    Edit:

I agree with you in that the loop on the noseband looks out of place, especially if you plan on showing with that bridle. The bridle you linked to looks suitable, although I've never tried it. Look  around to see if you can find it on other websites as well, and look for customer reviews.

If you don't plan on selling the bridle on consignment later on, I suppose you could cut the loop for the flash off. But then you might be left with a stub of leather sticking out, thicker than the rest of the noseband.

I don't know what your price range is, but here are a few other sites carrying bridles without a flash:

  5. It's a pretty good bridle, but I wouldn't worry about not having a flash. It's not as "Tacky" as you think. It's a nice bridle, not too special....

  6. I can't say personally, but if you are hesitant I wouldn't get it. You should get the more expensive one if you know that it's better. Cause if you get a bad one, you're just going to have to buy another bridle and that's just a waste of money.

    best of luck
