Before you go make sure you are used to being cold or hot. They have the same climate North America has but its more brisk or hot due to it being so close to the water. Consult a travel guide ie. a book that highlites all the places you could expect to go while there. Make a list of things to see and try to fit them into a time schedule thats realistic. Dont cram to much into a day as your just beating yourself up. Tha last thing I could say is make a budget for your trip with prices perday for meals, lodging, transportation and gifts from each place. If you plan it right you will have an awesome time and have alot of memories of it.
