Has anybody heard about a hotel recommending a taxi that ended up being illegal, then getting sued over it?

The hotel got sued because they recommended a taxi/limo that was illegal then it got into an accident.

The cab didn't have the right insurance according to city code. Therefore making it an illegal cab. When the lawyers got a hold of it they did what they always do. Sued everybody involved. Since the hotel referred the person to that cab they were held accountable. If you can provide a link to the story I'd appreciate it.

I haven't heard of it, but it's no surprise.  Lawyers always go after the deep pockets - and that's NOT going to be a cab.
