I personally ask my students to stay away from energy drinks and things like electrolyte drinks. these often put you on an up and down cycle and after a while you don't function without them and in the mean time the are hard on kidneys and pancreas. Good old sound eating habits and drink plenty of water. An electrolyte drink in an extreme situation after a hard work out is OK, other than in that situation avoid that JUNK! Your body will love you in a few years. Use your mind and spirit to hike the energy. It is tried and true for over 2000 years.
