  1. I have hunted both. There is a diff, Feral=Domestic hogs gone wild

Wild boar=Wild boar The Domestic/Feral are more fun to hunt. Believe it or not they are more vicious than the WB. If you've got the cojones hunt them with a large bore handgun. It is such a rush. When hog charges wait til he is within 10 feet aim at the nose he will drop like a rock right at your feet.  Good Hunting

  2. I used to hunt wild boar, and I usually marinated the meat overnight, then smoke the entire boar for 5-10 hours.  Came out perfect!

  3. I've only hunted (and trapped) the feral variety.  With a bow and with a gun.  They are very good to eat.  They run much leaner than their farm raised cousins because of their diet, but they are very good to eat.

The last one I cooked, I halved it, injected it with some marinade, seasoned it with some salt, pepper, and spice, then smoked it.  The meat was very flavorful and not "gamey" tasting in the least.
