I failed again today, 7 times now. Most of them on silly things. Has anybody else experienced this at the Middlesbrough test center?

  1. im supprised u can see the roads down there with all the smog.............

  2. Failed 7 times and for silly things, well remember that those silly things just might save your life and you need to take a break and study a little more so that will understand those silly rules of the road.........

  3. Change your driving instructor.  Your not ready for the test, regardless of what your instructor is telling you.

Try a few other instructors until you find a good one, your reasons for failing are evidence that he's c**p at his job.

He's probably one of those instructors that says 'good luck' as you go out on test, or hopes you get a 'certain examiner' who is kinder.

Sorry, but he's wasting your hard earned money by leading you to believe you are ready.

If you are trained to a high standard you dont need luck.

  4. Bad luck I failed twice and I still feel that I should have passed the first time at Middlesbrough but that's just my opinion!  My mate failed 8 times, I've heard a rumour that they have a quota of those who can pass I'm not sure if that's true could be a myth!  But on each test I took only one person passed out of the group.  If your instructor is worth their money they'll evaluate your weak areas and get you to practise them.  My only advice is whenever you can get practising that way they can't fail you on silly things, also you may feel comfortable having your instructor in the car with you on the test.  Hope this helps keep your chin up, you'll get there!

  5. What you consider "silly", the examiners probably consider unsafe or even dangerous.

Who has more driving experience - you or the examiner?

  6. i took mine at redcar when it was still open, failed first time but passed second time round. have you asked if you can take the test elsewhere. as far as i know theres a testing centre at whitby. personally i hate driving round boro.

  7. there is nothing to stop you pulling forward and bringing it back in between the two lines correctly. do this next time if you have to. you can manouvre it until you are satisfied with your position just check that you can see both white lines either side of you when you look in the mirrors.  ,
