I have just registered today with Additions Direct and ordered myself some pretty nice clothes for my children. The strange this is, as I got a flex account I didnt have to enter any bank details but I still got through the process and I got an email reciept telling me the expected delivery will be Tuesday. And all was succesful. How do I pay? I dont think its when they deliver is it? I didnt think that was allowed. Thanks

  1. yeah they process the order but : -

Below are the details of your order for you to print if required.

Once we have safely processed your order we will email you confirmation.

so it has to clear or they contact you when it doesnt go through

  2. my son has an additions account and i think they simply send a invoice with your goods and you pay that way either by cheque or card.

  3. Hi - I had a v similar experience with littlewoods direct -  I ordered some items online & wanted to pay via my debit card online - only to get to a screen congratulating me on my new credit account - which I didn't even want or apply for! I called Littlewoods straight away (as we were going through the process of re-mortgaging our house at the time) & asked if I had been credit checked etc.. & the girl said yes & the account was now open - I - like you, thought this kind of thing was illegal from companies.  Watch out!

As for Additions - they will have to send you 2 copies of a 'credit agreement' if you have a credit account with them - which you have to sign. They may well just invoice you online for the amount of your order - you ought to get in contact with them pronto if you do not want an account thou. I had no probs when I bought from Additions (ages ago) but watch out for p&p on returns (Littlewoods is free) as these costs can add up!

    Sorry if I wasn't much help!! M :-)
