  1. Alcohol? On a cruise ship? You must not like to pay $8 a drink... neither do I! I licked this problem on my second cruise and i'm going on my 19th next week. Take seperate carry on suitcase onto the ship when you board initially, and put it thru the scanner and carry it with you to your cabin. Wrap bottles in towels and carry beer in cans. They will not confiscate alcohol when initially boarding, however at ports you visit, they will, and return it to you when you depart the ship. After you go to your cabin and are "discovering" the ship for the first time, pick up empty glasses at the empty bars and bring them back to your room, then fill them up and bring them to dinner. Remember to bring our own corkscrew! Hope this helps.

  2. Just pay for it. It's not worth sneaking it!

  3. Two ways to do it.  I take a couple flasks that are about a pint each.  Pack them with my toiletries.  The other way is to buy some miniatures and pack them in with toiletries and/or pack them in your shoes.  worked for me.

  4. I just got off a carnival cruise. I snuck alcohol on the ship before and at every port. All I did is put it in water bottles and stick it in a backpack. I'm only 18 so if I got caught they would just take it from me; nothing else happens. My dad on the other hand was lazier than me. He didn't even bother to put it in a water bottle. He just left a full bottle of rum in his bag and ran it through the x-ray machine. They saw and told him to give it to another guy, and they said they would give it back at the end of the cruise. He saw the security guard was looking at the ground and just walked past him with the bottle and up to the cabin. Bottom line, the cruise lines hardly care.

  5. If you are taking Vodka or Gin, the best thing to do is empty out some dasani or arrowhead water bottles and fill them with the alcohol.  Make sure the cap is tight and put them in your luggage.  Even if they open your luggage they wont suspect that its alcohol and not water.  Plus the bottles wont break.  If you want to take a hard liquor you can try emptying Lipton Iced tea bottles and filling them with Crown or Jack Daniels.
