I got a travel vacation notice from the Imperial Majesty Cruise Line and Ramada Plaza. The cruise is free but I had to pay for my room at the Ramada. Sounds like a scam, checked online with the Florida state general attorney's office but found nothing. Has anybody been contacted with this proposal went and it wasn't a scam? Or is this a very elaborate scam.

  1. I get those every year. I think it's a scam, too.

  2. Yep, scam!

  3. Go to cruisecritic.com and read whats been said about Imperial Majesty. I have not personnaly been on the ship but was next to it when we were docked in Nassau and I wouldn't be on it. My friend booked one of thier packages (?) and after seeing someing on 20/20 or Primetime he decided to cancel. It took over a month and needed to call Florida's BBB to help resolve the issue. The BBB has records of very unhappy and disatisfied people who have taken it. Tread wisely

  4. Check out the Rip Off Report.  There's a bunch of complaints against them.  Definitely a scam.

There are pretty cheap Bahamas cruises through RCI and Carnival.  You'd do a lot better just to look into one of those.  Here are some tips on finding a legit cruise that's not too expensive (when the off-season is, and picking the right company, etc.):
