Has anybody received their grant money for the 2008 - 2009 school year?

I know that some schools will disperse excess fin aid a week before classes start but many school wait anywhere from 1 week AFTER classes start to 8 weeks into term before they do distribution. MY school waits 6-8 weeks and splits the refund money into two disbursements each semester. But my school only oes this because an average 35% of the students at my school will never be seen again after "check day". Sad...yes I know.

No.  Schools don't disperse funds until after the school year begins, usually sooner for continuing students than for entering students.

No. My school has set dates and they're usually 2 weeks before, 2 weeks in and then every 2-3 weeks after that.
