  1. Henry II didn't have a castle in Brighton. The Prince Regent (later George IV) had the Royal Pavilion built. It's now open to the Public and owned by the City Council. The former stables are now the Dome Theatre. The inside is just as strange as the outside.

  2. Very few people known of, let alone have seen, the castle of Henry III at Brighton. While called a castle, it was in fact a small but highly fortified retreat and it is actually situated not far from nearby Hove. At the order of Henry VIII, it was cunningly disguised as a hunting lodge. Today it has the exterior appearance of a run down pub and is owned by Mr Rory Emerald.

  3. Don't you mean the Royal Pavilion at Brighton?  It is famous for being the seaside home of the Prince Regent, later George IV.
