Has anybody stayed at Melia Perto Vallarta?

if so, how was it?

If not, what other beach hotels do you recommend in Puerto Vallarta?

We stayed at the Melia Puerto Vallarta for 5 nights. The only

problem we had was with the front desk personnel. We reserved and payed extra for an ocean front room but were first given a room with the garden view. They changed us to a ground floor room that faced the ocean but the view was blocked by palm trees. The room was nice and clean and the air condition worked very well.The beaches were some of the nicest ive ever been to! The service given by the waiters in all the restaurants and the bartenders was excellent. This is a very nice resort and would definalty go back again!

Villa del Palmar-   I loved it there.  beach is great,   activities for resort guests like windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing, barhopping tours, cultural tours, spa, ATVing.  suites/apartments with full kitchen, washer/dryer in room.

i stayed there 5years ago, so i'm sure things are even better.  12 of us went in all and stayed comfortably in two 2BR/3 full bath apts for a week.  so much space.  only one problem- they try to push the timeshares

also- there is an older section of the resort called Villa del Mar.  smaller and not as costly, but i think you have the same access as Villa del Palmar guests

Stay closer to  the old town.  Any of the resorts are good, i.e. Sheraton.  The beach is beautiful.
