  1. Not traveled on MegaTrain, but have travelled on the same route and services as the Exeter to London one. Its essentially a normal South West Train - Megatrain tickets are sold on services which would normally fill a single train, but not two joined together.- IME they are clean, comfortable and the oldest trains used are about 15 yrs old (and midway through a refit better then some intercity trains)

Not sure about the East Midlands Trains version...

  2. ,not so sure about a "mega train" but the big trains i use to and from London are the biggest i,ve seen in the u.k. and they are run by virgin trains nothing special when they,re not full usually on time and comfortable, but at peak times there,s usually no seating and your cramped up with six others in the doorway next to the stinky toilets for most of the journey!

  3. MegaTrain is just a name, you travel on Virgin Trains the same as everyone else. The only difference is that Virgin release a small number of tickets to be sold through their partner company called MegaTrain.

  4. No I have not, the trians from my station are run by National Express East!!
