  1. Removal of mercury dental fillings (amalgam) is treatment of choice with lots of people. They have it replaced with composite white fillings for cosmetic reasons, not minding possibility of crack in the tooth. But the amalgam that is too deep in the tooth is best left untouched lest you face root canal and crown as additional expense.

  2. Are there really health problems associated with dental amalgam?  If you take the trouble to search the scientific literature you will find there is no link between amalgam fillings and ill-health.  Of course, this is not sensationalist and will not make dentists richer by unecessarily assaulting teeth that are well restored and putting in place an inferior material such as composite.

Oh, ever thought about the oestrogen-like compounds that are released from composite?

If you were to touch a hard material such as tooth or filling with a drill rotating at 250,000 rpm WITHOUT water you would be really impressed with the sparks and heat generated - the water spray prevents this.  It also prevents the risk of mercury vapour being released - the only time free mercury is released once amalgam has been placed so if you are going to put your head in a furnace keep your mouth closed.

  3. what type of removal are you trying to do and why?

go to the dentist to get it out because you should not be swallowing any of it as it dentist uses water to help remove it and an aspirator to suck it up.

  4. nooo thats yuckj

  5. like are you serious? if you are not a dental professional you should not be removing anything. do you have a cavity? if not then leave you teeth alone! have you heard anything on the news regarding mercury fillings and got scared? if so do your research and get the real facts. most people have mercury fillings and you don't see them dropping dead because of it!
