Has anybody truly truly seen a ghost? We have an old property?

one of the staff tells me that an old man stands at the end of the bar, and that there is a little girl in the building too! Now, I have been there for hours on my own and can't see anything and it's not because I don't believe it? have you seen something that nobody else can.

To see ghosts or spirits with the naked eye, you do need to be more intune with the other planes of existance. Humans usually only see on the third plane. While cats, for example, see the 2nd through the 4th planes.  Ghosts I believe are on the 4th, and 5th.

That is why "ghost hunters" use cameras, or camcorders or other technical equipment, because such things can capture ghosts. (There is a little truth to the belief that cameras capture the soul).

Try taking pictures in the bar and see if anything comes up.  Or, if you really want to see them, try meditation, and opening yourself up to the other planes. any human can usually glimpse the 4th plane if their minds are open to it. Though it takes very enlightened individuals (those who have worked their way up the cosmic ladder) to see the 5th plane and beyond (there are 7 or 9, I can never remember which).

As a side note - I am just learning of the planes now in my studies... and so I may have the numbering off. Feel free to correct me if you know.

Yes some people do see ghosts but on another person's property.But you must remember that the property is yours so you don't worry may be the person is just scarying you don't worry sweet heart. Otherwise you can always say some prays before entering the property and on the property.

You have to be sensitive to the spirit world to see them. Every now and then non-sensitives see them, if your like a clairvoyant then you can see them all the time.

I've seen maybe 4 (not sure about 1 of the sightings) ghosts in my life, and got a Ouija board to move by myself. Ouija boards normally take 2 or more people to move.

Yes i have. I took a photo on my mobile phone up my stairway as it's very 'noisy' in the evening. In the picture is clearly a small child, and on the second shot i took she's sitting on the top step with another little child next to her. I'm going to try again but this time i'm planning on using my Digital camera as it's easier to upload such images to the computer. She and her playmate are very very visible and her frilly dress, knees and bonnet can all be seen. The other child, her actual face is much clearer than what she is wearing. I've not seen Mr ghost but i've witnessed its doings. Long story cut short, old house with a definite history, the sound of windows breaking but no broken windows, a heavy chain swinging from the banisters like it was made of ribbon, a bike helmet spinning round and round like a spinning top before stopping and then starting again. So many other little things and everyone that came to the house said it was haunted. My boyfriend (now ex) didnt believe but one night of watching his helmet and bike chain do its own thing and hearing "it" move between furniture changed his mind. It was never scary tho, strange at times but I was never scared.

If you trust this person, and they are not lying, then perhaps the old man and girl are there. I have been in many old buildings (albeit a lot of them were pubs/bars/inns!) and sensed and seen many things that aren't considered 'normal'. Maybe you haven't seen them because they don't want to be seen by you? Or maybe your energies are just not attuned to sensing them. You see, we perceive only what our bodies can, not what we want to. If you want to train yourself to be more open and receptive of these things, then you can.

I'm a communer, so I regularly see/speak with/hear uncommon things that not many others can. Those things being all manners of beings- not just 'ghosts'. What about you? Have YOU ever seen something? If you have, but can't see these particular beings, then maybe it's something about you that either you don't want to see it, or they not you. Or again, perhaps you're just not like-attuned.

no. but i hav heard ghosts. when i was staying at a hospital i heard someone always talking to me. i kno i wasnt crazy either bc when i switched rooms it didnt happen anymore. ghosts are real. dont worry tho bc their intentions are probly not to harm u, they r probly just protecting u or something

a pub i worked in was over 400 years old..

when i used to walk into the old bit i used to swear i was going mad as every so often i'd see a figure drinking from a tankard in the corner just a shadow hitting my eyes... this went on for a while and really freaked me out.

Found out later on i wasn't the only one who saw it and that he was a regular..... ghost!

After a while i just got used to it... but it never felt right and gave me the shivers!

Yes I have at least twice in my life.  Once at my grandmother's a shimmering light past by the bedroom door.  It was not car lights reflecting off a mirror or window.  As it passed by it stopped for a couple of seconds in the middle of the doorway and went on.  It was about 2 feet off the ground and was at least 5 feet tall.  Needless to say it scared the bejeberzzzz out of me!  My mother seen the same thing as she was in the kitchen.  I like to think it was my grandfather's spirit checking in on us.

The other time I was young (in our home) and seen a women coming down the stair in an old Victorian style dress.  She was wearing a hat with a Vail covering her face.

We currently live in an old home and we hear footsteps, strange sounds, and even smell cigar or pipe smoke that moves throughout the house.  My husband is a non-believer

and he's even chased the smell as it moves from one room to another. If you want to see them, talk to them, acknowledge them and maybe one day you will.

Well, I have a story that's pretty creepy.

I was about eight years old and my mother and I were watching TV downstaris one night, when I got up and passed by the kitchen to go upstairs for a minute. From the corner of my eye I saw a silver man wearing a military uniform standing next to the table. I told my mother, but it was gone by the time she got up to look. I passed it off as just a reflection, and didn't see anything for years after.

Then, sometime last summer, a family came to our house. The man said that his grandfather had lived here and that he wanted to show his kids where he had used to come when he was younger. My mom remembered what I'd seen and asked the man what his grandfather had looked like and if he had been in the military. The man was suprised, and said that he had, and described him. He was exactly like what I'd seen in the kitchen.

Creeped me out, I'll tell you that.

I'm not clairvoyant, but I have seen inexplicable things.  I suspect that because I believe, I'm more sensitive.  I've had a female ghost leaning over my bed in the middle of the night in a house I didn't know was haunted - that scared the bejesus out of me.  

It was about 2am and I opened my eyes and she was just standing there.  I could even see the pattern on her dress.  I thought I might still be dreaming and stuck my head under the pillow for about a minute or so, but she was still there when I popped my head out again.  My head went straight back under that pillow and I started saying the Lord's Prayer (and I'm not even particularly religious, so you can tell how scared I was).  I dared to peek out again after I'd said it twice, and yes, she was STILL there.  The third time I dared to take my head from under the pillow, she was gone.  My door was locked from the inside and there was no way anyone could get into my room.  

A couple of weeks later, I was chatting to a friend who had stayed in the same house.  He told me it was haunted and described his experience - and the ghost - in detail.  It matched my experience completely - down to the grey hair and pattern on the dress.  I hadn't told anyone about it as I felt a bit foolish - surely I was imagining things?  Apparently not!  Not everyone who has stayed in the house has seen her, but enough have.  I just know that I won't be staying there again - whatever or whoever she was, she had a truly malevolent presence.
