I used old rusty tongs to move coals... Then a meat hook to cook german steaks ^_^.  mmm schwank ....

I remember my mom using them in old apt as a kid.she had a coal stove! huge that came with apartment real dump- it had holes on tp with lids on to cook on .and in the holes she used coal tongs to move around coals inside srove,

Yes, many many years ago.

Great for placing and removing coals on a Dutch Oven while camping.

Or for moving logs in the fire to make even coals for roasting marshmallows.
