Has anybody used the B.C. Ortho Micronor after delivery?

my dr had given me this prescription for the pill and i was just wondering who has taken it after having the baby? i was reading the information on it and it said the medicine will be excreted in breastmilk if i am or will be breastfeeding discuss the risks to your baby? so does anybody know what risks they are to the baby. i went to the dr to see when i should start but no one there and if this medicine will harm my baby i dont want to take it cuz im breastfeeding and i refuse to put my daughter on all formula..

HELP??

  1. Ortho Micronor is safe while nursing (the only pill safe to take while nursing...a combo pill will dry up your supply).

    I took the generic version Camilla for a few months to make sure I didn't have a reaction to the progestin before I had the Mirena IUD put in.  It's a lot easier to stop taking a pill if there are any negative side effects than to have an IUD removed.


  2. Doctors wouldn't knowingly prescribe medciation to you that could harm your baby. Most medications are safe even while breastfeeding.
