from Obrien ski's. It came with a DVD showing how to use it. It shows people surfing way close to a boat with the underneath propellors, starting with a short rope. . I plan to use it (I'm an adult) with a long rope and just ride it and then just 'play around' in the wave that's at the end of our ski rope.

I understand from the video that it helps to have people sit on the side of the boat you need a big wake for. And also to 'come up' outside the wake. It looks like it will be fun. Any ideas? Please refer me to someone who has DONE it if you can. ps I'm not a typical 12 year old hot rod, I'm a 54 year old lady. The board is styrofoam. It looksss like fun fun fun though.

I just saw it in a catalog and got wild and ordered it. Trusting huh? It's a 'new item'. Thanks for any responses.

  1. yes follow the video and you should be fine, speed keep it at seven miles an hour  its really easy and its fun if you have several people since your only going 7mph you don't have to keep turning around  so do what the video shows you and its all good i have the the same board and it works great.

  2. You need a very wide bodied heavy boat since it creates a higher wake. If you've never surfed (4 years experience, Alliso beach Calif) it will seem impossible from the boat. However, don't be sad, it is more fun with a ski rope. I tried both ways, then sold the boat and bought jet ski's. Best purchases I've ever made!
