I have been trying to join the Air Force for about 6 months now and this whole time, I have been patiently waiting for everything to get approved. I have ADD but they said that's fine after a few months cuz of my grades I got senior year. And i even scored a 75 on my ASVAB, which is pretty high.
But the thing that is dragging on longer than it should be is my Kawasaki Disease I had when I was 5, I'm 20 now. 1 or 2 months after they approved my ADD papers, they finally said i'm good to go on the Kawasaki papers. So when i take my physical, I pass everything but when i get to the part where they "feel me up," the doc is worried about the Kawasaki Disease, even though it was already approved, but she sent it to the Surgeon General anyway and said it would be 30-45 days. I didn't hear back for about 55 days and that was just to say that they need more papers on it. So my recruiter faxed them what they needed and they said it should be another 30 days. That was about 1 1/2 months ago.
I am getting really frustrated cuz I am not going through all this just to find out that I won't be accepted. I really wanna know if there are people who get accepted who have had Kawasaki Disease or if this is just a waste of the last 6 months of my life...
