  1. Yes I did.

For answering the name of the song or singer, I got a T-shirt.

  2. okay just take your question and multiply that by like 1 million..jonas brothers are the hottest thing out there right now ..people cant get enough of them!..your gunna have a hard time getting through..but i work in radio..and yes people really do win..and i could be you..so put the phone on speed dile..good luck!

  3. I won an Xbox 360 a couple months ago.  The Key is Persistence

  4. US99.5 has been very good to me. The thing I won, just 2 months ago. Two tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy and just this week tickets to see LeAnn Rimes for tonight, but it has been cancelled. She is ill.

  5. i know for a fact that its not impossible so keep trying over and over again or her's a tip if you know what time of day they start taking phone calls call like a minute early that way you get through and maybe be the 1st caller or if ther not taking the 1st caller try it anyways bcuz im sure other ppl try this 2

  6. I won money, 2 pairs of Levis and it came with a coupon for 2 bottles of sprite lol

Yes of course it is a lot easier when you have speed dial, thats how I won twice ( the money was 100.00 on a coca cola credit card, don't think they exist anymore)

  7. It's isn't impossible, however very unlikely.  I wish that I could be a little more positive in my answer, but the reality is that you are participating in a contest with many hundreds of thousands or perhaps many millions of people for the same thing.  It is especially more unlikely because you are trying to win a prize that is very popular.  In my 31 years on this earth, I have won one contest, and it was for a instant request.  It might not sound like a lot, but to have your voice heard on a legendary station broadcasting to 30+ states and four foreign countries is pretty awesome in my opinion.

Luck will be the only way to win.  I know from experience in working in radio before.  I wish you the best of luck!

  8. A long time ago, I was determined to win something on the fly. So I tried a contest on Radio Disney, I got on! They sent me a CD and a pack of stuff for getting through, and I got entered to win tickets to a concert that I really wanted to go to.

It's mostly luck... but I had a hunch, and I was right.

It was weird hearing myself on the Radio lol

  9. Program your phone with the radio stations number, it will dial faster than you can.  Use a land line as it is faster than a cell phone.  Keep trying!

  10. i usually don't ever call, but i did once and won movie tickets.

  11. Sure, every day thousands of people win prizes from radio stations. My first winning was in 1960 - I won two tix to the Harlem Globetrotters from WFUN in Miami (or was it WQAM? - they were in a huge battle and WFUN was the new station in town), I was in Jr. High at the time; now called Middle School. The best part: my busy executive dad actually took me!

Just remember KISS 108 is a big station in a big city and everyone wants to win.; esp. Jonas Brothers.

    Here's some tips, though:

Whether you get through or how fast is dependent on where you live and the way your phone company is set up - true.

It is also based on the luck of the draw. These are all perfectly legal.

If you really want to win something, get as many people as you can together with the number programmed into their cell phone and when the buzzer buzzes, or whatever the signal is everybody just keeps hitting redial 'til they hear the busy signal, then does it again and again until your hear ringing, or the DJ says he has a winner. Be careful you don't get so excited you hang up when you hear actual ringing, or a pause instead of the busy signal.

Or do the same thing on your home phone with one person trying for each line you have (some people have more than one line at their house). Home phones are generally quicker than cellphones. Also hook a phone into any fax lines you have.

Another method works, but only if the station has given a hint as to approximately when they will have the contest and you've done some homework.

"Clock" the station. Write down what happens and when, each hour, for a few days to get the station's "format clock." If you keep good notes you will discover at what time in the hour they play music and when they stop the music to play commercials, traffic etc. (a "break").

If they say "in the nine o'clock hour," starting at the beginning of the anticipated first "break," start calling.

Just have as many people calling as possible starting from about 10 seconds before each "element" ends. An element can be a song, commercial, traffic report etc. You may get lucky and sneak in just after they clear the phones for the contest.

Whether you are No 100 or 108 or not isn't always important. If you get through and are quick with your story, sometimes you can talk the jock into letting you be the contestant. Remember they want someone who will sound excited (but not out-of-control) on the promo they'll make of the winner ;<)

    Good Luck!
