  1. theres not really ever such thing as a good homemade tattoo unless its done by a really good home artist. I do all my homemade tattoos myself and the only one that came out "good" was A small heart I did on my right arm

  2. My sister and her friend got theirs done by a guy they worked with out of his garage and they both turned out fairly S****y.  I've seen worse, but yeah, they're not good.  My sister actually went and got hers fixed and added to, so it looks better now.

I don't think I have any before pictures of it anymore though.  Only after.

  3. Its rare but possible. Mine turned out horrible, and I had to pay alot to get it covered up by a professional.

  4. some may look good at first, but because of the ink used over time they all fade and become quite blurry,

by home tattoo do u mean artists that work out of their home or tattoos done by homemade guns or needle pricking? because i was speaking of the latter.

if you get done by a proffesional artist that does them out of his home (like i do) the tattoos look just as great and will cost you less because they dont have to pay shop dues.

  5. Definitely! My tattoo of a broken butterfly knife with the year I stopped cutting, covers my whole left shoulder and it looks great. A friend of my family did it at my cousins house and he was awesome! Very sanitary and professional. He did some great freehand tats and even did a nice cover up on an old ugly dolphin tattoo she had done over 20 yrs ago.

I think it depends on how experienced the artist is. My guy has been tattooin for over 15 yrs and he just does the home visits as a side thing.

It's simple if you settle for someone who's not experienced and use them because it's "cheaper" then you get sh1tty quality.

  6. it really depends on what you mean. if you mean making supplies yourself and doing it, yes it will look S****y. but if you mean just going to someone who knows what they are doing but doesnt work in a studio then no they usually look good. i used to go to a guy that was a paramedic for a living and did tattoos on the side. he did a large tattoo on my back and it looks great. i would attach the photo but not sure how....
