Has anyone's got h1b approval for this year's petitions???

i have got the receipt number for my H1b petition.... but i am waiting for approval to come...want to ask has anyone's got the approval???

I'm not expecting any more approvals to be issued until after October 1st, the start of the new fiscal year.  And I'm beginning to suspect many companies will withdraw applications due to the declining economy, and more will be rejected for failure to meet the requirement that "there are no Americans qualified for the position."  

Unemployment in the US is rising at the fastest rate in at least 30 yrs (some economists calculate 60).  Over 380,000 Americans per week are losing their jobs -- and that only counts those eligible for unemployment insurance, about half of those unemployed.  We have a fresh crop of new grads (high school, college, grad & professional schools), so we are pouring millions of people into the workforce and are not creating any new jobs whatsoever.

Do not count your chickens before they hatch.  And look for jobs in your own country.
