  1. I actually clep'ed it today, and I thought it was fairly easy.  i got a 77 out of 80.  I only used the REA study book, which I bought off of Amazon.

The book was helpful in knowing what terms will be used and what format the questions are in, but I did a lot better on the actual test than I did on the practice tests in the book (I missed like 34 out of 90 on the practice) so don't let it get you down if you don't do really well on the practice.

The best thing to do is know the terms: hyperbole, alliteration, etc... (They are all in the REA book) because you won't understand parts of the test if you don't.

  2. This was one of the easiest CLEPs I've taken.  It's not a test that you can really study for.  Basically, you just need to be able to understand literary passages and be able to answer questions about them.  It's not necessary to purchase study materials for this test.  Make sure you know the literary devices.  I spent about an hour studying those and passed with a 68.  This is the website I used:

    Good luck!
