Has anyone NOT received their direct deposit stimulus check yet?

Ours was due the end of May according to my husband's Social. I know they have the right account number because our taxes were taken out quite properly. When filing using Turbo Tax we were told the amount we were to receive. I called the IRS Toll Free number I found at their web site and the recording told me to visit the web site!

  1. since you had to pay you will be getting a paper check instead, and i think but i'm not sure and i'm only quoting what i've read on here from others that also if you had to pay that not only will you be getting a check by mail but you won't get it til after all other checks has been issued after july 11th.

    SORRY!

  2. If you paid your taxes via direct debit, you won't automatically receive a direct deposit of the refund. You would have had to put the bank information in the direct deposit portion of the form, and many online services don't let you do that if you're paying through direct debit.

You'll probably be getting a check based on the published schedule.

  3. I found out the hard way that anyone who used a tax preparation service, like Turbo Tax will be getting a paper check.  Even though your money refund was direct deposited, your stimilus won't be.  Go back to irs.gov and see when you should recieve a paper check according to their schedule.

  4. A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren't, so are assuming they'll get it earlier than they really are.  For example, if you had a tax prep place do your return and had your fees taken out of your refund, you aren’t eligible for direct deposit.

Check your bank statement from when the original refund came - if it says "US Treasury" you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check

Since the first round of direct deposits is done, it sounds likely that you'll be getting a paper check.

The other possibility is that you filed too late for your return to be processed by the 4/15 cutoff to make the first round of stimulus payments

  5. you can call the 800 number back, and they will assist you. There may be an issue, with your account, such as paying, which means you cannot have a direct deposit, because they do not have your account on file. You will get a paper check which takes longer.
