  1. Not personally, but look up Don Croft. One of his 'adventures' mentions that he had to service his Joe Cell, and the guy doesn't sell them. Sounds encouraging, in any case.

  2. Many disappointed people have installed the Brown’s Gas and HHO generators. It’s a con that’s been around sience before the 1970’s

As far as Joe cell, it used something called Orgone energy. Supposedly orgone energy is pulled out of the surrounding atmospheric fluroplasmic environment or Ether.

IMHO just replace the word orgone with “the force” and it’ll be the same thing.

  3. This question comes up a LOT here.

And while there is lots of information about the use of hydrogen (or HHO) in cars, there doesn't seem to be anyone who frequents Y!A who has actually ever installed one of these gizmos.

I've done some digging on this technology.  It seems that hydrogen does indeed improve diesel engine performance, but you also need to make some rather expensive modifications to the engine itself and it only improves fuel efficiency when idling.   I'll put a link to the ONLY true success story that I've ever heard about this strategy.

There are a whole bunch of sites that will sell you cheap converter kits.  No one (aside from those who advertise the site) seem to think much of them.

With all that said, though, I've never ever heard a genuine first-hand experience.   And that alone should be cause for concern, no?

    Good question.

  4. It didn't work. Look at the exhaust just running on gasoline. There is CO2 and CO and water vapor. There is no excess oxygen why would u add more fuel with no oxygen to burn it. If it worked the temp would be so high that it would create a lot of NO2.

  5. Pure RIP-OFF..

The Department of Energy, General Motors, and every University in the world has not been able to duplicate what the adds claim.  The state of technology is such that a Joe Cell and all other hydrogen generators consume more energy than they produce.

As far as moving forward to the hydrogen economy I think we're still a good 40-50 years away from that technology.

These alternative fuel technologies have to move one step at a time.  So as far as hydrogen based alternative fuels go, we will remain in the laboratories for a while longer.

Right now we are moving more and more toward greater and more efficient production of ethanol.  Within a year or so, you should be able to purchase your own backyard ethanol manufacturing appliance for about $9,000.  It will be able to make alternative fuel quality ethanol for about $0.50 a gallon.  (See the link below for more information.)

The next generation will be disel fuel from algae.  Boeing has announced that within the next 10 years it will be flying jets with jet fuel made from algae.  There should also be a large international demand for small generators which will grow algae and extract its oils.  It will only need CO2 and sunlight for its base materials so it will have the added effect of removing CO2 from the atmosphere.

So in ten years we could see a marked reduction in the need for fossil fuels.  In the next 20-30 years we will be technologically capable of being completely freed from fossil fuels.

  6. It will ALWAYS require more energy to produce the hydrogen gas than the incremental power boost.  If you think this means it would be more efficient to use this energy directly, you would be correct.

  7. I Installed one of the kits you can see on e-bay. (Won;t mention the sellers name) In my Toyota Echo.

No Improvement, although it did seem to accelerate somewhat better. (could be just wishful thinking)  When I looked into this more online, it has to do with the fuel mixtures not leaning out, the drag on the alternator, etc. It really needs a lot of power to generate a significant amount of browns gas.

I though about trying to put a solar panel on the car, and use that, but not enough power to generate, and only works when the sun is shining.

If it was easy, and as effective as it says, GM, Toyota  or someone else would make them an option, not just the snake oil sellers online. This is something that the dealer could easily add, and with gas prices the way they are, would sell like hotcakes (if legit)

Don't get ripped off like I did.
