Has anyone actually seen bloody mary?

no one needs to tell me about the legand or anything but i was just wondering if anyone had ever done this and seen her in the mirror or see that its all just one big joke. i know im never gonna try it but i was just curious for your answers.

hahahahahah :] I totally forgot about this. When I was like in 4th grade everyone was talking about this. There was this girl in my class and she said that she did it and Bloody Mary came out of the mirror and grabbed her arm. I was freaked out so much I didn't like being in the bathroom by myself.

My best friend and I were going to do it actually we were standing in front of a mirror but then we backed out of it. So no I have never saw bloody mary!

Ok.....never do it...i tried it thinking it wouldn't work. It did and it was freaky. I saw her in the mirror then she kept creaping towards me. People do think it is a joke, but I know its not. I promise I'm not faking it, because I hate people who are faking things like this.

I personally have never seen her, but that’s probably because my eyes adjust to changes in lighting very slowly, but I do know how it works:

Everyone’s eyes need time to adjust to changes in lighting; you also need time to refocus after spinning in circles. The combination of the two messes with your perceptions even further.

After you stop spinning and look into the mirror your own image will begin to be outlined as your eyes adjust to the light, but it will be distorted from all the spinning.

Also because you are already expecting to see the spectral/undead figure your mind will distort the image even further because it is what you were expecting to see. Then because it is usually a sleepover game people usually flee before giving their eyes the chance to realize that you are only looking at your own reflection.

it's your reflection.

you look in the mirror and say "bloody mary" three times.  you'll see a girl looking back at you - it's you!!  it takes about that long for your eyes to adjust to the dark.  once they've adjusted you'll see it for a quick enough second to freak you out!

not a ghost - just you.  :)  optical illusions are fun...

even a ghost.....they wouldnt live in a mirror to scare people.

I've done it and nothing happened. I even waited alittle bit to see if she would show up but nothing.
