  1. Yes, the credit crunch will only those who have been very silly in the past. If you are a saver, with interest going up so will your savings. Great!!

  2. Savers are one sector who have benefited from the credit crunch as lenders are continuing to up rates in order to tempt savers through their doors. Rather than use the money markets to fund mortgages, which has become expensive, the institutions are relying on savers deposits. As such we have seen some of the highest rates ever seen being offered, certainly the highest when base rate was at the same level.

Also in the last two months mortgage rates have continued to decline and are now at the same levels seen before the credit crunch began. Therefore anyone looking for a new deal should not have to pay such a big increase each month when their old deal ends.

  3. it has to end sometime it cant go on for much longer no matter what the so called money experts say if they are so good why didn't they predict this before it happened

  4. What credit crunch? I don't know where one recession ends and the next begins. I'm no more or less broke than I ever was.

  5. The good news is that things will get better soon.

  6. Yes. Once the houses are cheaper I might actually be able to afford one. Otherwise not much to say.

  7. Credit crunch?  Everybody's all in a flapping lather about the current market adjustment.  We should have one about every year and have gone for four years with the market artificially pumped up.  Any surprise we have four year's worth of correction all at once?

The good news - this was very predictable and the market will pull out before much longer.  Meanwhile, find some solid investments that have taken it on the chin and buy in, then hang on to them.
