Has anyone any recent experience of Talk Talk? - Broadband and phone package.?

Contract with bt ends soon. 02, Plusnet and Talk Talk have good/bad ratings according to which site I look at.

How to choose???

I used to be with Talk Talk and didn't have any problems with them , only changed because moved in with my partner and we got a great cheap deal with sky.

Yes, I've just setup a Talktalk connection for someone as they were the only unbundled provider in their area. It wasn't as bad as I expected, everything worked and it was reasonably cheap, however....

...They have an 18 month contract, the call costs are not the best if you use the landline a lot and the broadband is a bit slow even though the reported connection speed is reasonable. There have also been a few issues with call quality.

They're not the worst, but if you can afford or are in the catchment area of a better provider choose them instead. Good ISPs i've used recently are Be (bethere.co.uk), Sky, Zen and O2 broadband. Avoid Orange (broadband not mobile) and Tiscali.

Hi,I am with talk talk for my phone and broadband,they are okay for the phone (ie bills being cheap) but there broadband is rubbish.It is very slow even though i am on there highest level package,and i get a lot of problems when starting up,it continually tells you there has been a connection problem.I always have to end up phoning technical support.And i am not racist or anything like that but i have never once spoken to someone from this country(UK)and they cant understand me and i cant understand them,so you can end up being on the phone for over an hour and end up with a migraine!! I am stuck in a contract for 18 months and still have about another 8 months of that to go.As soon as my contract has finished i will definately not renew it with talk talk.This month alone i have had to phone them about my broadband service 7 times.
